Meet Cindy Cranston - HR Associate
Cindy Cranston, a native of Grand Cayman, was born and raised amidst the stunning beaches and vibrant culture that define the Cayman Islands. She enjoyed a childhood filled with activities that nurtured her sense of community and personal interests and as a young girl, participated in ballet, T-ball, Brownies, and Girl Guides, where she developed leadership skills and a love for teamwork.
With over 15 years of diverse professional experience, Cindy has built a solid career in Human Resources characterized by her dedication and expertise. She has held positions in various industries, including finance, shipping & distribution, hospitality, and government and holds a Human Resources Management Certificate from CISHRP. Her ability to navigate complex HR challenges and provide effective solutions has made her a respected professional in her field.
Most recently, Cindy served as a Visa & Immigration Specialist at EY Cayman, where she managed all administration related to employee work permits and supported overseas candidates with their immigration applications. Prior to this role, she worked as an HR Officer at the Portfolio of Legal Affairs the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, providing HR services to approximately 75–100 staff across multiple departments. Her responsibilities included recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and performance management.
Cindy's career journey also includes roles such as Secretary to the Managing Director at Thompson Shipping Company, HR Administrator at Walkers Cayman LLP, and Project Administrator at Progressive Distributors Ltd. These positions allowed her to develop a diverse skill set in areas such as payroll support, employee relations, recruitment, and immigration.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Cindy takes pride in her role as a mother, nurturing her son and daughter. She values quality time with her family, whether it's at the beach, watching movies, or traveling together, and indulges her creative side through hair styling.
